But every advocate has their own precedents — the lease that has held up for years, the engagement letter worded exactly the way you like it. Until now, those lived in old files you copied and cleaned up by hand each time.

Now you can bring them in.

Turn a contract you already trust into a template

Open the Templates section and choose to add your own. Upload the contract as a PDF, or paste the text straight in. Give it a category if you like — Agreement, Deed, Lease — or leave it as Custom.

Legal Desk AI reads the document and converts it into a dynamic template: it works out which parts change from one matter to the next — the party names, addresses, dates, the jurisdiction — and turns them into fields you fill in, while keeping your clauses and language exactly as you wrote them.

Draft from it like any other template

Once converted, your template joins your library next to the built-in nine. Drafting from it works the same way: pick the template, fill in only the particulars, watch the finished deed assemble in the live preview, and edit freely on your own copy. The original template stays untouched for next time, and every contract you create is still saved as its own complete record.

You can also open any of your templates in the editor to refine the wording or adjust a clause whenever you need to.

Where to find it

It is in the same Contracts section of your workspace, under Templates. Bring in the agreements you reach for most, convert them once, and draft from them in under a minute — your own precedents, with the structure and safety of the rest of the contract workspace.
