Terms of Service for Legal Desk AI

Welcome to Legal Desk AI (the "Application"), an AI-powered platform designed for lawyers and individuals seeking legal services. By accessing or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Description of Services

Legal Desk AI provides the following services:

For Lawyers: The Application offers tools for client and case management, application writing, judgment summarization, AI-powered legal queries, and a dedicated database for storing and managing their case-related data. These features are available through subscription plans.
For All Users: The Application allows users to search for registered lawyers in their vicinity and contact them via mobile, WhatsApp, or email. This basic search functionality is free.

2. User Responsibilities

General Users: You may use the Application to search for and contact registered lawyers. You agree not to use the Application for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
Lawyers: You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the information you store in your database. You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to data privacy and professional conduct. You are prohibited from sharing or disclosing confidential client information without proper authorization. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your login credentials.

3. Payment Terms

Subscription Plans: The lawyer-specific features of the Application are available through monthly or yearly subscription plans.
Plan Selection: Lawyers can choose between monthly or yearly subscription plans based on their needs.
Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance for the selected period (monthly or yearly).
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. The cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds: Refunds are not provided for partial months or years of service.
Subscription Lapse: If your subscription expires, access to paid features will be immediately suspended, and your data will be preserved for 90 days. After 90 days of non-renewal, your lawyer database will be permanently deleted.

4. Content Ownership and Copyright

Lawyer Data: The data you store in your lawyer database is solely owned by you. You have full control over its content and can delete it completely.
Site Data: Lawyer registration details and other site data are owned by Legal Desk AI. This data is generally publicly available information.

5. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Data Recovery: Due to the Application's privacy features, data recovery after a database deletion is impossible. We are not responsible for any loss of data after a lawyer database is deleted due to subscription lapse.
No Warranty: The Application is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability: We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Application.

6. Termination

Lawyer Accounts:
- Accounts without a valid Bar Council number will be terminated immediately.
- Any fraudulent activity will result in immediate termination.
- Only licensed lawyers are permitted to access the lawyer-specific features. Unauthorized access will result in immediate termination.
- If your subscription expires, access to paid features will be suspended. If your subscription remains inactive for 90 days, your lawyer database will be deleted.
- Legal Desk AI reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account with notice if malpractice is discovered.
General Users: Legal Desk AI reserves the right to terminate access to the Application for any user who violates these Terms.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
