How is Research different from the free Case Law section?
Case Law is a free public corpus you browse and read. Research is a workspace tool that takes a description of your issue and finds judgments on that point, including ones phrased nothing like your query.
Do I need a subscription?
Research runs inside the lawyer workspace and counts against your plan. The free Case Law browse does not.
Why is it marked Beta?
It is live and usable, and we are still tuning how results are ranked and how much of the corpus is covered. The label is there so you know it is moving.
Are my searches private?
Your queries are tied to your account and are never shared across accounts or used to train any AI model.
